The Palheiro Golf Team
Edgar Rodrigues, who is currently Head Professional of Palheiro Golf level III, started his golfing journey in 1994 on this very same course, having gone through all the different golf stages such as Caddy, Caddy-Master, Starter and Ranger.
He started his course with the Portuguese PGA in 2004, as Assistant Golf Professional, having finished in 2009, when he became the course's Head Professional.
During this period Edgar has trained all the fundamentals in the realm of golfing with the professionals who have visited Palheiro Golf.
He has competed in various PGA Portugal events, including two European Tour events - Madeira Open 2010 and 2012.
Edgar coaches all ages and skill levels. As a coach, part of his objectives for his pupils is to create simple and clear practice routines, for the short, medium and long terms. Achieving a more consistent and enjoyable game is one of his mottoes.
At Palheiro Golf Edgar is involved with every and anything golfy. Promoting the game with both juniors and adults, organizing tournaments and events, setting up the everyday layout of the course, implementing and organizing the Golf Academy, which has an annual average of about 50 youngsters, or even mending clubs, are all part of this golf pro's day-to-day life.
